Length of the Powered Industrial
Forklift Program:
Approximately 2 weeks 40 hour program paced over 5 classes (8 hours each)
The
Powered Industrial Forklift License
allows you to operate standard sit-down style forklifts and provides
you with
the practical training you need to be easily certified on any other
specific
type of Powered Industrial Truck. A Powered Industrial Truck is defined
as any
mobile power-propelled truck used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or
tier
materials. Powered industrial trucks can be ridden or controlled by a
walking
operator. (Earth moving and over the road haulage trucks are not
included in
the definition. Equipment that was designed to move earth but has been
modified
to accept forks are also not included.) Upon successful completion of
the
program all Graduates will have satisfied the OSHA requirement
permitting them
to operate forklifts for a 3-year period.

based on 40 clock hours of combined classroom and field training. Classes will be conducted
over five days,
